I combined a couple of threads that were on the same topic.

Strangely, the pages on the 50th Anniversary Legend and Folklore are still not operational after a month. Do they only have a part-time IT person who shows up occasionally?

I imagine their budget is pretty tight. Maybe they skimped on IT or Maybe they have buyers for all the 50th guitars they have made and web presence isn’t a priority at this point.

Yay - seems they now have the Legend, Artist and Vipers on the site. Would be nice to see the archives and history and resources coming soon too, but I think they finally got the essentials covered.

Interesting that they show the Adamas Viper. Wonder if you can actually BUY one?

Says coming soon.

There's also a 5 string bass (Elite TX), some new applauses, and a celebrity Uke coming from what I've seen.

Related to the website and marketing discussion, Epiphone just pushed out an email that linked to this page for their new Masterbilt Century Acoustic Archtops: http://www.epiphone.com/mbcentury

IMO, this is a very effective example of combining video and beautiful photography into a guitar lust-inducing outreach. There's no reason that Ovation can't do things like this.

Of course there is no reason that any company can't do this. But not every company has the same priority or budget. Don't know what goes on in the minds of DW but maybe this approach just doesn't fit their plan at this moment. Their drum site is pretty robust with lots of content and videos. etc. So maybe it just hasn't trickled down to the guitar site yet. Lack of a stellar website would not keep me from lusting over Ovation and Adamas guitars.
