Short and sweet cut right to the chase ... nice job.

I'll add some marketing fluff for Beal's benefit. These Bluegrass Models (340 is mahogany and 360 is rosewood) are just about the best dreads that Takamine ever built, but they only built them for a few years. This is a great chance to grab one. Big dread bluegrass sound and nice wide neck. Immaculate build quality.

thanks, the 340 is one of the later ones with tortoise binding rather than black Both are killer guitars, I have others and a tt 340 and tt 360 so these are really extra. my main giging guitar is my 360adi/madi.

for reference, the 360 (TN360SBG)...

One of the best sounding guitars I've ever played. These don't come around often.

Good luck with the sale.

OK how about a 340TT for $1450 or a 360TT for $1550? Both new.

Why a higher price for used BG than new TT? Were the BG much better?

The BGs were quite more expensive than the TT. They are no longer available but still very much sought after by "those who know".

After playing Beal's 760 at Amelia, I just had to have one, so I ordered a custom with a bunch of upgrades through Al. That was back when Mike Markure was the GM for Tak North America. He personally helped pick out the bear claw spruce top at the factory and kept sending me emails about it. Those were great times. I also installed the Triax sound hole pup and run a blend of about 75% CoolTube2 and 25% Triax. The amount of gain coming out of that guitar is spectacular. Love these Taks.

Still using the 760, played it last night. I run the triage at 60%. Actually I think mine is a 460, the OM version. I loaned the other to Davis. I've had one of each and they are great.
