So I have not had this beauty very long but I have an opportunity to purchase one that I have been drooling over and I need some cash. This is a 1975 1114-4 that is dead mint! She looks like New Old Stock!. There is not a scratch, crack, ding, dent or mark on her. The neck is great and the frets clean.

I did upgrade the tuning machines to ones with metal posts instead of the plastic ones that were on her. The tuning machines I bought are the original NOS Schaller (Ovation branded) Ovation machines.

She also comes with the OHSC that is also in great condition.

I purchased her from the original owner that babied her.

Selling price is $650.

Thanks,
Steve

I'm not sure if Ovation ever made a better, pure acoustic guitar. There are many reasons why one of the true customs I had made is based on the Folklore design.

Someone will get a fine guitar for a very good price.

That's the one.
If I could afford it I would grab it.
(I already have a beater Folklore or two)

What a beautiful instrument with nicely upgraded tuners! If I ever get my hands on a lefty version of that model, I'd happily snap it off.

Not sure if they ever fixed the string breaking issue of the Folklore models at the tuner posts back in the seventies.

Never had that problem with mine, but I, li,e Leonard, replaced the plastic covered tuners. I believe the original tuners were Country Artist tuners, or classical guitar tuners of some sort.  When I bought my 1114-4, it was immaculate, like this one, but the tuners had started to disintegrate.

I replaced mine with Grovers as I wasn't aware there were Schallers available, and I was left with some visible screw holes.

Leonardmccoy, could you give me the model number/style of those tuners?  I think I might replace the Grovers with that type to cover the screw holes.

So I have decided that I will give it until 8pm EST today for someone to pull the trigger, otherwise I will keep her and be happy to have such a great instrument.

Oops. I meant to address that question about the tuners to Stevomatic.
