Joined: November 2004 Posts: 1374 | I own a Turser, which I think is close and probably came out of the same factory.. but it's a neck-through prototype that never made it to production, that was gutted of all imported hardware and electronics, which was replaced with CTS pots, orange drops, Switchcraft jacks/switches, Schaller bridge/tuners, wilkinson roller nut, and EMG pickups.... now it's a nice guitar... and anything similar with a G or an F on it would have cost about 5 times what I have in this one. Howie has some Dillion's/Samick's/Turser's and they all seem to be about the same in build quality and cheap hardware.(at least to me) Glenn | ||

Joined: November 2004 Posts: 1374 | danged time out on editing! all hardware/screws are now gold tho... with Keystone Schaller tuners, flamed maple pickup rings, and the fine tuner bridge(tp456 now at woody's in the parts box) has been replaced with the Schaller wrap-around type. Glenn | ||

Joined: October 2006 Posts: 5575 Location: big island | the turser's are chinese. the dillion's are korean. the turser's get nowhere near the accolades the dillion's get. i've played turser's at a local shop and was not impressed at all, even at the price level. there are no dillion dealers here so that's why i am fishin'. | ||

Joined: May 2007 Posts: 166 Location: Veedersburg, Indiana | I don't know about the electrics, but I have played (and sold them for awhile) Dillion acoustics and they were pretty nice. For the money however, I think a person could probably do a little better. I liked them for the different treatment of soundholes that were on some models. | ||

I had one that was a PRS copy - even had the flying birds on the fret board - they were sued over that one. I almost miss them now. You can't go wrong with one of them Lanaki | ||
