So the consumer keeps buying & buying & buying.

Marketng can be so misleading. Who'd of thunk it!

Thanks, Randy.

Amazing. Once again, let the buyer beware.

"Planned Obsolescence" as they said when I was a younger man... They could probably make tires for your vehicle that lasted longer, but...nevermind, don't get me started...

IT'S A CONSPIRACY I TELL YA'!

Kinda like my recent rant about all the TV's going digital in 2009!
I just gave a needy person a Montgomery Ward B&W "Portable" TV (20" screen, weighed 50 lbs!). It had tubes and knobs.
It picked-up over-the-air signals better than my Sanyo flat-screen CRT w/ stereo speakers, surround sound, remote, and a dozen A/V jacks on the back.
Both of them will be useless come February of '09.

Timed obsolescence is a reality.
If everybody wants to save the planet, why are there no returnable REUSABLE bottles?

Arthur, I think the new digital technology and high-density pixel ratios incorporated into the new video screens and terminals can be very 'deceiving' if you know what I mean. We know the mainstream media prides itself on being able to manipulate public opinion and report as little true news as possible. For example, millions of people 'watched' the twin towers collapse at free-fall speed, which was TEN stories per second, but they basically only saw what later-on they were 'told' they saw...

I gave up on "recharge 1000 times" type batteries a long time ago.
Now I know why.

I've heard about these batteries before. Too much technology, too many ignorant people using it. I'll never use Epson printers again, because when ANY of the ink cartridges report empty the printer refuses to print (color empty? can't print black & white doc!). Then I found out their cartridges were reporting empty with about 17% remaining. It went in the garbage.

I use Sony rechargables in my digital camera. They just keep going, and going, and going... best rechargable batteries I've ever bought, including Powerex.
