Some years ago, when I mostly played Guild guitars, I got my hands on a nifty Guild guitar stool:

http://product-images.highwire.com/7660540/4700286c-1fb6-45c5-a967-...

One of the things I'd like to see the new DW-owned Ovation make available to nuts like us is more branded merchandise. And I can't think of a better way to start than with an Ovation guitar stool. Or how about an Ovation guitar strap?

Has there ever been such merchandise available?

I think I actually have one, but I'm not home to confirm. I have two, a 30" and 24". The shorter model works better for me and I believe it says Ovation. The taller model is a different brand.

I have a short and tall one with the Ovation brand on them. I (actually my wife) probably got them from the same ebay site the Professor got his. I saw them and put 2 on my Christmas list, but they only had one left of whatever size I requested, so she got one of each. I'm sure they weren't Ovation merchandise, because they were pretty cheap, but they work well. I haven't used them as much since I got a couch in the guitar room.
This year she got me a guitar, but it was a miniature.

I know that I have seen Ovation guitar stools.
But I surely cannot find even an image of one online.
But I know that they existed at one time.

They're not closeups, but mine are shown in a few pictures in my album. I vaguely remember that the same seller on ebay had several different branded stools for sale at the same time and I might have obtained the last of the Ovation ones.

I found a thread from 2008 that discusses them, but no pictures. The Prof said they were ordered from Sigler, but made in China, as opposed to his Fender stool, made in the USA. Isn't that ironic?

So this could be a project for some enterprising individual. (I don't have room)
Get some generic bar-stools... Get some Ovation silk-screens, or stickers...
Get some clear Urethane... And go into business.

The padded bar stools might be a bit more difficult.

I am checking with a company that makes Logo Barstools, and asked for a quote.
Let's see what they come back with.

They have the ones with the back, and the regular no backs, but I asked for a quote on the ones with the back.
Someone mentioned that you can use their logo as long as it is for personal use, and not for resale.
And they have many colors for the vinyl, and minimum order is just one.

We will see what they come back with.

The area of the seat on which your image can be produced is 14 1/2" in diameter. The side band or skit image area is 3 1/2" X 43 1/4". The overall stool dimensions are 17" W X 17" D X 30" H.

Okay, I requested quotes from 3 different Custom Logo Stool makers.

Please note that I requested a quote of the one ring stool with a Back on it.
I also just sent in the original Ovation Logo, because I have no idea if you would want the Ovation Logo, the OFC Logo, (basically a one color logo, is a one color logo) and I had this one on my computer...
As we are ordering these ourselves, you would be able to pick the color of the material, the color of the ink, the logo used, and if you wanted a back or not (I don't like tipping over with a $5K guitar in my arms! LOL!!)
And these are all American Made chairs, and the logos are on the underside of the vinyl, so that they will never wear off.
They all rotate 360 degrees

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One: would not give me a quote until I had written permission to use Ovation's Logo, I explained to him that these would be for personal use only, not resale, and he still will not give me a quote until I have Ovation's written permission to use it (I just wanted a compare quote...)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two: "Thanks so much for your email. We have a minimum order of 5 pieces for the logo bar stools. Assuming that quantity works, 5 of the 1-ring bar stools with a back with your logo just in 1 location will cost $225 per stool plus a 1 time $250 art setup fee plus shipping. If you get the logo in 2 location the cost will go up to $250 per stool plus a 1 time $250 art setup fee plus shipping.
Here are some details on the logo stools:
http://www.americanchairs.com/logos.html

*Your logo is screened in reverse on the underside of clear vinyl. We
invented this process to protect your logo from ever scratching off. Our
vinyl actually protects your image from being scratched.

*All LogoStools come equipped with an industrial 360° swivel to lessen wear
and tear.

*All round seat LogoStools have a fiberboard reinforcing ring to help
prevent "pancaking" or flattening of the seat. Our stools never lose their
form."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Three: We would need a higher resolution file in order to print the stools. The stools are $139.99 each, plus a $50.00 set up fee per order. Shipping is $28.00 per stool. We have attached a virtual of the stool for you to see, what do you think?
www.SeatsandStools.com
Here is their Virtual or Sample of what it could look like:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This would be a great time for BillX to jump in, and say Ovation/DW would like to handle these???
