"You aren't gonna get a really good Dreadnaugt for five thousand dollars..."
That's a scary thought.

And according to this guy, my 1974 Ovations are not Vintage. Oh Well, I Like 'em! :p

Arthur, at least you will be able to look back in years to come and say "well they are pre Fender Ovations"
He did allude to the value of "Pre CBS" Fenders

George Gruhn is a legend in his own mind (lol)..Seriously, he does know the vintage market as well as anyone alive today; I have known him since the late 70's...He is however responsible for many of the vintage USA made guitar treasures going in bulk to overseas buyers for cheap dollars in the 70's and 80's: never to be seen again here in the US and eliminating them from the hands of current and future generations of American guitar players. His repair shop is excellent and a trip to Nashville should include a trip to his 3rd and Broadway store...

George was "it" for many years. He still is one of the main sources for vintage knowledge. He like all of us is turning into an old man, sometimes a bit bitter and jaded. I don't use him as "the main source" anymore.
