| haven't had much time to play either.. but the Adamas is in great condition other than a chip out of the finish on the headstock.. electronics work fine. and needs new strings.. case has a burn/bubble in it but is serviceable.
the 1537 is structurally sound, neck/frets are in excellent condition, and the mono/stereo and controls work properly one of the wood markers is missing for the tone. the action is good and no rutting of the fretboard.
the epis on both sides are lifting off and warping pretty hard and they look like they've been reglued multiple times... and a small piece of birdseye on the bass side is missing as well as a small piece between soundholes on the treble side.... a small chip in the wood binding is also missing on the bass side bottom... along the bowl... not completely missing or whole chunk of binding gone.
the dark staining in the cracks and finish is definitely either old english or old motor oil... cant' quite tell... but the cracks; while there are many, are not as bad as the staining make them appear..
so looks like this one will get a new set of epis and a crack fill/glue and a light re-finish.
the 1537 is much darker/bassier/deeper/rounder...
woodier? sounding than any other elite that I've played or owned. I have some new Martin Lights on it now.. plays really well, and sounds really good.
the way it looks like/right now... I might have to name it TriggerII... but I'm sure John and Co.. can get it back into fine fettle.

| just did an internal inspection after playing for a while and noticing a buzzing... anyway there have been some crack repairs and some cya fill work done, there are two splints on the crack running bridge to bout.. and three splints on the crack in the bass bout. bass side crack was cya filled and buffed/sanded back and is still tight, the bridge to bout crack has separated again, and one of the biscuits is buzzing the back of the top.
Another one heading north...I figured it was anyway.. hope the FMIC pricing hasn't went into effect yet.
