Location: Cornwall, Ontario | Someone gave me a Solid body Celebrity. (Korean made?) a few years ago. It was trashed. I set it up as best I could and hadn't played another solid body until last weekend when I checked out a whole pile of awesome guitars to possibly trade for.
There were only 2 guitars that were clearly nicer to play than mine - Les Paul and a Telecaster custom with 2 humbuckers.
All the rest left something to be desired.
I'm going to keep my Ovation. Get it set-up proper, some frets fixed, maybe electronics.
Is there anything I should know?
Is it a possible gem that I shouldn't mess with?
I have found very little info on it. |

I believe very underrated.

Location: South of most, North of few | Nice grab James! I've had a few celeb acoustics, and they were very nice players. Never got to try an electric though. That one looks sweet. |

Location: New South Wales, Australia | Congrats, artman. I too was given an electric celeb earlier this year. I posted about it but was unable to locate the original post using the search function. There's a couple of pics of it in my gallery if you're interested.
A mate of mine picked it up in a pawn shop and it had been sitting in his cupboard gathering dust. It needs a bit of work and eventually I'll get around to getting something done. He'll probably want it back then I suppose.
Good luck with yours. |

Location: Cornwall, Ontario | Same as James' and the red one in Arthur's add. Neck plate is plain though - Just has the serial #712457 that I can't trace.
Could never really figure out the KMD bridge though. That's why the action hasn't been what it should be. |
