Well , have travelled over 3000 miles in guitar quest and await the arrival of the 1537 in Florida , i think that beats most on the obsessive scale .
The trip got off to a dodgy start when i desposed of half of my spending money at the airport , had to buy things like the obligatory Ultimate Guitar Magazine , Guitars Today and Total Guitars , Q Magazine , copy of the Daily Mirror , copy of The Guardian , 4 paper backs , 2 pens and a packet of wine gums.
Now staying with my mum in enclosed gated community and seem to be youngest person here by about 40 years , although scarily the least tanned , least fit and worst dressed.
The state of the US economy has caused me many sleepless nights but looking on the bright side it does mean that 20 Britsh Pounds buy about $ 400
So noticed today that CDs are half price , would love some reccomendations of good music that i might not be familiar with , I like all sorts of stuff but dont like to work too hard so melodic
All sugestions gratefully received
and Jeff arnt you supposed to be taking me out for a drink on Thursday night?

What's so creepy is... that I can see Weaser with his white trousers hiked-up under his arms, brillcremed-doo settin' atop a cheesy smile, pattin' the passenger seat while makin' the invitation...

I'm questioning whether or not returning to the OFC was well advised. :p Then again, it's just like I never left. :D

Once again, the incredible generosity of strangers known to each other only by the moniker of OFCers shines brightly to light someones way.

Woody, you are truly a gem and I hope she realizes your super offer and takes advantage of it (before the Weaser takes advantage of her!)

I am really proud of my humility!

What I really meant was "make a low offer" but since foriegn relations (shut up Weaser!) are involved I may just swap for the Wooden Roundback and call it even... Stephen...

At a music store on the latin side of town (ask the help) you should look for Sueños Líquidos by Mana. Think latin Police without the ego and warfare....maybe a little better

Nobody is shaped less like a dumpling than weaser. If he turns sideways and sticks his tongue out people think he's a zip.

You didn't say where in Florida you'll be. To me, there are three regions, the miami side, the tampa side, and up north. If you're going to be in the Naples to Tampa part, I'd recommend, http://www.radiofreecarmela.com/, you can check her dates on the website. Her band has an excellent bass player, and she's really familiar with the west coast scene. She's having a cd release party in December.

Driving around Florida's not like driving around the NYC area. So most things are easy to get to.

It's getting back in that's dodgy.

In a seniors community the "But I'm the nanny!" sketch won't fly so good.

I suppose that would depend on the decor and dress requirements of where you're visiting; if the walls are comfortably padded and the sleeves of your clothing wrap-around behind you, you may find it just a bit more complicated to depart.... :D ;) :D
