The trip got off to a dodgy start when i desposed of half of my spending money at the airport , had to buy things like the obligatory Ultimate Guitar Magazine , Guitars Today and Total Guitars , Q Magazine , copy of the Daily Mirror , copy of The Guardian , 4 paper backs , 2 pens and a packet of wine gums. Now staying with my mum in enclosed gated community and seem to be youngest person here by about 40 years , although scarily the least tanned , least fit and worst dressed. The state of the US economy has caused me many sleepless nights but looking on the bright side it does mean that 20 Britsh Pounds buy about $ 400 So noticed today that CDs are half price , would love some reccomendations of good music that i might not be familiar with , I like all sorts of stuff but dont like to work too hard so melodic All sugestions gratefully received and Jeff arnt you supposed to be taking me out for a drink on Thursday night?

Woody, you are truly a gem and I hope she realizes your super offer and takes advantage of it (before the Weaser takes advantage of her!)

To me, there are three regions, the miami side, the tampa side, and up north. If you're going to be in the Naples to Tampa part, I'd recommend, http://www.radiofreecarmela.com/, you can check her dates on the website. Her band has an excellent bass player, and she's really familiar with the west coast scene. She's having a cd release party in December. Driving around Florida's not like driving around the NYC area. So most things are easy to get to.
