The guitar just keeps sliping off my knee, my hunch is and im sure Jeff will back me up on this , is that the humidity in the Florida air has caused the plastic particles in the back of the guitar to expand causing there to now be a greater gap between the front of the guitar to the back resulting in me having to stretch my right arm further to play and the guitar slipping forwards
Stupidly i told my mum about this and she reccons that eating 4 pancakes , 2 eggs , 2 llbs of potatoes , a muffin and a bagel every morning at Perkins might have something to do with it .
Well, naturally i told her thats ridiculos  , we all know there is still no absolute proof about the connection between over eating and getting fat , just like with global warming , I mean just ask Mr Bush .
Maybe some one can shed some light on this phenomina

Well, it is a DEEP bowl. As for the breakfasts, even Bush, Cheney, the American Enterprise Institute, the Heritage Foundation, and the rest of the neo-con wealthy industrialists who want to take over and rule the world are having to re-evaluate their stance on global warming in the light of overwhelming evidence.

Your little "skid-pad" may have lost its "teeth". You can buy one of those gizmoes that renders the bottom edge square, I suppose. Plenty of opportunities on FleaBay.
As for girth, playing style, familial harmony, laws of thermodynamics, and The Greater Cosmos; somebody needs to stuff it.

Loosening of Molecular bonds aside, this seems to be a problem that plagues some folks while others are left completely unaffected. I happen to be of the latter...

I've always thought that if it slips or rolls, you're putting too much pressure on the top of the guitar with the right arm...

Play with a strap on.

Play with a strap on.
So many possible responses to that one...

". . Play with a strap on . ."

If THAT'S not and "under-hand lob", I dunno WHAT is.

If only Master Jeffrey had a nickle for every time he's had to utter THAT one . . .

It might be just God's way of sorting out those that probably shouldn't be playing a real guitar.

I don't know for sure, he really doesn't talk to me directly (apparently even indirect association counts), but I've heard it's been discussed...

Try playing in chair that puts your arse (excuse me . . "derriere") at the same height (or lower) than your knee).

If your upper leg is parallel to the floor, the guitar has nowhere to "slide" too . . .

My problem is... Now that I have moved from SSB's to Grown-Up deep-bowls, I cannot just tilt the top of the guitar up a bit to see what I am doing.
I actually gotta use them fret-dots on the side of the neck to see where I'm going!

But as to Your Problem... Cross your leg! It holds the guitar at a nice height, and it won't slip!
