I'm very impressed. Also, I tought I would have to bring the guitar to the mothership for treatment, but it seems in perfect shape! Perfect action, no cracks, the electronics are fine - I can't find any problems!
Love this new guitar!

But right, the red on the outside fits in more with a New England fall foliage scene. So unless there'as a better idea, I'm going with New England Burst. Thanks again guys. Being the humble (some say just humiliated - lol) it sounds so perfect. I compared it my USA Balladeer. I loved that guitar - but hearing this Elite - my G-D! I just have to find the right audience for the different styles. Also I may try heavier strings on the Balladeer.

If I have learned anything here it is patience is rewarded, especially when you have GAS. And if feels best when you can find joy in others fortune!! When yours comes around it makes it even more sweet!!

No, I didn't haggle. On The Balladeer, which I also bought used from GC, I was able to because it was damaged. This guitar I had been thinking about for a couple of days. It was originally in Eugene, and by the time I decided to get it, it ws allready gone. Or so I thought. I looked back at the GC used section and clicked on the picture, and for some reason it had just moved to Medford. So, given "good" condition and a good deal on UPS shipping & handling cross country ($30.00 - cool!), I just hit the "buy" button without talking to them.
Oh and don't worry guys, I'll be blessing (or burdening - YMMV) you with a video in the coming days - lol.

I went in to buy a Seagull, but when the guy handed me that 1778LX, it was over. It had a better sound than anything else in it's price range. I bought it immediately. I can't tell on that first picture. Flash and color settings can make colors look very different than what they look like to the naked eye. Here is a NEB finish (but on a 6778LX). Thanks all for the compliments. As to the color, it doesn't have the brown elements of Damon's NEB. It's has gold/honey in the middle fading into red on the outside
