I know this belongs over on the other board, but I just think it's so damn good looking it deserves to get double duty ... Spruce, rosewood and abalone - throw it all in a blender and this is what comes out. Model TNV-460SC.

Dave, THAT is a beauty! You must be a very proud father. No electronics? or is it a cool tube?

Get rid of those white dots and you'll be really looking good.

It's like accidently finding a different p0rn site... very nice looking instrument. More abalone would make it play faster.

Yeah, but undernieth it's a plastic bowl. The wood covering is just there to keep the guitar from sliding off your knee.

It has cooltube, but the preamp is arriving in a seperate shipment.

Nope - It's their standard Nashville 460 model

You can read my full review fo this one over on the Tak forum, if you're interested. Like Ovation, these upper shelf Taks are under appreciated and under valued. A similar Taylor or Martin would cost you double.

Relax Bill, he was talking about the quality of the photography. Not the guitar.

Seriously, gulfcoast is correct. For an extra $1500 or so you probably could get a "nice" Taylor. Whatever that means.

For less than $1500.00 you could have had that Taylor....

Ronnie, Your guitar was an aberration. I don't think it was really a Taylor. You just stuck that name on the headstock, right? That was a damn nice one, for sure. Dave

Wow. Dave, doesn't this make a nice partner to the 75? I'm thinking so.

Oh yeah, a nice partner. But it's not quite the top shelf of the 75. But very nice in its own right. I like the neck better than the 75. Any way you slice it, I don't think there's anything better for the money.

Beauty, Dave.

BUT...

Why does Tak put those dots at either end of the saddle?? I'd rather they not.

Yeah, the dots cover up the access to the pickup mounting. It's kind of ugly. An old Dutch wooden shoe maker is fabricating some wood plugs that will replace the dots. One owner actually did a custom paint job of the dots. I thinkthe color is called 'sharpie black'.

it looks rather professional too! seriously. the way the sharpie ink colored the mother-of-plastic showing the slight textures looks very nice. it doesn't come out quite black and blends in with the bridge very well.

What, THAT old thing? Geez, the neck is all fat and there's a couple of big holes on the headstock? Who'd want to be seen playing such a thing? I WAS going to bring it to Amilia for you to try out, but ...

Dave

PS - I have a note stuck inside the bowl. Says "To whom it may concern. If I am dead, please contact Schroeder ASAP."
