I was expecting good... I got GREAT! Neil rocked Seattle last night. 70yo and thrashing about on stage like he was still in his 20s.

The Godfather of Grunge!

That's interesting. Until a few years ago I hated Neil Young with a capital F. But then I got dragged to a concet and I friggin loved it. The guy is truly amazing in that way that even if you like him or not, he's still amazing !!!

Rockin' in the Free World continues to be one of our ending set numbers that always knocks 'em dead. Audiences just love it.

One of the kids in the band is Willie Nelson's boy.

You'd think that 70 years of singing in falsetto would finally get to you, but he's proof you CAN survive. I'd like to see him solo...just him and his guitar, singing at a small club somewhere. That would be cool.

It wasn't a small club, more mid sized, maybe 5k or so. He started off by himself on the piano, then went to acoustic with the blues harp. After a half dozen tunes or more the kids joined in after the Monsanto Hazmat folks sprayed down the stage with pesticide.

His voice was SPOT ON what's it's always been, though I did notice Old Man was sung a step lower, and Cinnamon Girl (encore) was sung an octave lower, which makes me feel less lame for doing the same.

Cool pictures Damon!
i saw Neil 31 years ago at the CNE out door grandstand in Toronto.
i was 19, saw 3 concerts that week 1st was YES touring the 90125 album best bass solo i,v seen...never seen a better one since.
7 days later saw Rod Stewart cause the girlfriend had to see him...he just missed my head with a soccer ball he kicked from the stage.
2 days after on the Saturday night we saw Neil with the International Harvesters total acoustic show it was awesome!
to bring Neil and the band to the stage, which was set up in the middle of a football field. they opened the gates at one end and drove
a Labbatt,s Blue beer van in with the side door kicked open with Neil and the band holding a beer and waving at the crowd.
"KEEP ON ROCKIN IN THE FREE WORLD"

heres a picture of my ticket stubs i still have lol
and i did a little research and found the set list from that night.
