1778t Elite USA. 2005 vintage. I've been looking for one for a while and last week this one turned up on ebay for a good price and near-mint condition. Except it was real dirty and way out of adjustment. Everything cleaned up and polished up nice. At first i thought I may have a problem because the neck was severly bowed and super high action. The truss rod nut was so loose that it turned about half a turn before it made contact and adjusted real smooth.

I always take things apart and inspect. Found the fretboard extension bolt was loose. 4 shims were under the pickup. I took out one skinny and one fat tan - what is the difference between the tans and the whites - this had one fat white.

The action is real low without buzz and this guitar sounds and plays great. I'd say its inspiring. The neck profile is an almost identical feel to the rounded V of my 1978 1617.

The only defect I've found is the nut slot is too low on the G string - isn't there a quick fix for that?

The white ones are tapered
