Location: San Antonio, TX | She cleaned up nicely, even the boogers from the stickum they put tags on with. All restrung with lights and plays so nice. have to adjust the action a little, getting a some string buzz becuase the action is set so low, but with the heavy crunch of the amp, it does not matter.
Takes me back to HS jam session metal.
Very pleased.
Now to get a nice amp to take advantage of the acoustic sound.... the old F***** reverb does good for the crunch, but a clean sound it does not do well. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | One thing I noticed about the VXT acoustic tone. While performing with it, I wasn't too impressed initially. However, I then heard it from the audience (Matt Smith playing in Fernandina Beach) with my eyes purposely closed and my appreciation for its acoustic voice changed 180 degrees. They sound very good from the audience. Of course, there is no question as to how good they sound on the electric side with those humbuckers, and dialing them in between the two provides some interesting sounds, too. I prefer just using whatever sound is provided at the 50% indent, or full-on electric. These guitars are so much better than their second hand sale values suggest. |
