......ah to have been there then...

My skull could actually pass for one of brads boobs, and has been called worse!

Surely there's a funny retort to this post, but I can't come up with one. It kinda stands alone....

UPDATE: Well best laid plans… turns out that Uli model was both a shallow bowl and a made in China, though originally advertised otherwise, seller realized his error and refunded my cash. Bummed but ended up buying her a nice little applesauce  soprano uke for the anniversary.

Next year I hope to have found the grail for her: 1778T Orange Flame !! ok perhaps the following year - I know these beauties are scarce - but Orange is her favorite color!

I think the blue one with the raindrops was the coolest one of these I ever saw.

I have one of the RFT ones (flames all around). They look cool, but don't let the bling fool you ...they are great playing and sounding guitars.

+1 on the raindrops. they looked so real

I've had 3 red flames and 2 orange ones. Chasen Chantz still has one of the red ones, but the others are gone. I would snag a fully painted one in a heartbeat if I ever saw one again. I've only seen one for sale once. Ditto for the blue raindrops.

The full bodied flamers are absolutely fantastic visually, with a voice different from the rest of the line up, very close to the Elite T models I believe, which is what it basically started as before receiving the custom paint. Regardless, in a blind sound test, my wife's favorite on two different occasions was the full bodied red flamer. I keep it in a prominent location in the bandroom with two red spot lights on it. I bought it here from Tim.

That's just the Ovation Guitar Gods testing your mettle to see how bad you've got it.

Hard to tell from the photo, but that eBay listing may very well be one of the full body flamer models which typically have a black headstock. The top only flamers usually have a headstock painted with flames to match the top.

It is kinda dumb to only post one photo of any guitar.
It's not like CL charges you for photos.

But that do look like it might be a full flamer.
