I've been thinking that I need a 1778T Elite so I have been perusing Ebay, Reverb, and CL lately. My preference is for a textured one with the skinny neck and the OP-PRO electronics but I don't really have a huge need to plug in so I'm not concerned that this one has the OP30 electronics. Found this one on my local CL but I'm not sure of how easy a fix this is. Serial number dates to 2004. My guess is that the bridge popped off due to a lack of humidity so that could mean other problems elsewhere on the guitar. Should I run to check this one out or run away?

I've seen this one on CL, too.

IMO, it's been there for a while because $300 is pretty pricey for a guitar with a popped bridge.

There might be other problems, but the only way to find out is to go check it out.

Personally, I wouldn't pay over $150 for this guitar.

You'd think a pawn broker would know the difference between mahogany and maple.

Not to be the price police...
But I paid $350 for my Lusty Red T... and it works.
Offer $200. The case, preamp and tuners are worth that if you cannot fix it.
Then ask Dan Savage which kind of glue to use and how long it should cure.

Thanks guys. I'll skip it as there are other 1178 T's online that are in much better shape. My luthier skills are limited to taking a straightedge with me to check the neck angle and with the bridge pulled off I don't even know how I would even do that, much less try to glue the bridge back on. Above my pay grade so to speak.

@DanSavage I'm right up the road from you in Newport Beach and there is another 1778T for sale here that I'll probably check out.

With that bridge, I'd hesitate to call it in excellent condition. Usually, that would mean it is playable, at least!
