Anyhow, Paul Simon left that guitar behind in Carey Fisher's home, so she eventually auctioned it off for charity. It would have been nice to have that guitar!

Aye.....that's what I was watching. That concert is what sent me to the music store and snag my first O, a 1655, in early '82 I believe and got rid of a Martin D-35. I supplemented the 1655 with an A/E 1776 soon after. Added a 1768 a few years later and played that as the primary for years. Ended up selling everything a few years ago and picked up a Martin HD-35. But I sure missed the O's. Hence my recent acquisition and refurbishment of the '82 1669. I think the HD-35 will be looking for a new home soon.

I had a class in a room that had the old wooden desk with the ink wells. I remember seeing that Paul Simons name was carved in it near the ink well. Hopefully he wasn't crazy enough to carve his name into the desk. Only he knows for sure
