Hey folks!

Had a quick question: Anyone ever experience any ground issues with your Ovations? I've been gigging actively for years with my Elite 6868 and just lately I've noticed that there's a grounding issue that will only go away if I touch the nut on the input jack. A thorough look around inside didn't reveal any loose connections, bad solder joints etc. It literally was not there one night, but was there the next night and ever since.

Anyone else ever run into this?

Yes I experience something similar (Original pickup + FET3 amp). Its not too bad and it is more prominent when I pass the signal through a pedal. When I started using that pedal I noticed it. Before I didnt.

Try pulling the preamp and using a good quality pot cleaner on the inside of the controls.
