Location: SoCal | Difference is just brown paint v. black paint...bet a lot of us have older guitars with brown cases that have protected the guitar but have suffered.
I have a couple that are "good" but I would buy at least 5 or 6 (or more) deep bowls to replace the "poor" ones. Kim Keller, when he received my Patriot for repair didn't ask - he quickly threw the case in the dumpster.
Heck, maybe just taking advance pre-paid orders, take the number of bowls and paint them brown. And, yes appropriate for a reissue. |

Location: NJ | to do a run of brown cases they would probably have to order a minimum of 100 from tkl and would they sell 100 reissues???? reissues of what? |

Location: SoCal | Reissue of anything with a contour or deep bowl could take a few cases - if not, why have the reissue.
And, there would probably be sales of just the cases, even with the cost of shipping.
Back when I bought the 1st 47RI sold from Brother Bobby at Oklahoma Vintage, he had a picture of a 9158 brown case...course later I find out that he made a deal that ALL Ovations and Adamas came out of the factory with the inferior black 8158 case. When I challenged him on it, his response was "fine, it will be picked up tomorrow." I declined and replaced it with one of my 9158 cases.
At least if I have to take one of my three slotheads out of the house, I can use the graphite that came with the OFC. Protection and class.
