At the moment I have 20 Ovations in my office . I have been using Vipers and a D-Scale ovation. I have my heart set on a custom Elite USA and a few other tricks we are working on. I will say that as a player I would use an Ovation over any other brand. In my opinion its a players, players guitar.

So cool to have you on board. I'm excited! So many Ovations I still want.

From a public source (LinkedIn), Mr. Xavier was a Regional Sales Manager for KMC (Ovation, Adamas, and Takamine) in the early 90's. He has almost as many guitars as Nancy

That's what got me. Nothing plays like an O.

Are you talking solid body Vipers or EA's or the newer Malmsteen signatures?

I never understood the Malmsteen signature models. How many people actually play a scalloped fingerboard?

If think if you look at what Godin is offering you can see Ovation was very ahead of the game. That's ALL I CAN SAY ABOUT THAT "Forrest Gump"

Before or after, their fingernails dig out the wood of the fingerboard?

who is the xraiderman ??? i am not saying that you are not for real but all of a sudden a new member says that they are someone from d.w. and in charge of the ovation guitar line and everybody on this forum starts sucking up to this poster as a new messiah.
i don't have anything personal against you xraider but can you give us some credentials of what kind of job you have at d.w ?
we have all been waiting so long long for something positive to come from fender/d.w. to get something rolling on an american ovation built again that people can be pulled in the direction of that they want to here and rumors have been going around for over 3 years so
please give us some reality of who you are and what your statue is with d. w. thank you . GWB

From a public source (LinkedIn):

William (Bill) Xavier is the National Sales Manager for DW and a very strong advocate and believer in Ovation guitars.

Mr. Bill Xavier was a Regional Sales Manager for KMC (Ovation, Adamas, and Takamine) in the early 90's. In addition, Executive Vice President of Sales, Artist Relations, Sales and Marketing, and Business Development for Hanser Music Group, and Director of Sales and Product Development for Peavey Electronics (including Peavey guitars).

He is the 'real deal' and appears to have the necessary 'fire in the belly' that DW and us need to get Ovation reborn.

I am sure that the purchase and developing events would not have happened without the full support of DW's founder Don Lombardi and Chris Lombardi (son of Don and DW's CEO).

We know who Bill Xavier is.
The point is you have absolutely no proof (or at least none that's been presented) that xraiderman is Bill Xavier.
For all you know he could just be a troll that happened to be reading these threads about DW and decided to have a little fun.

The fact that he managed to get an account without me giving access says he's got an inside track somewhere (Miles)

Besides, how could you doubt a Raider fan?

I'm not a troll, and I'm not a messiah. I just care about the brand.

Its wonderful to hear a voice direct from DW on these forums, something we never had with Fender or even the most recent Ovation company. It feels like somebody really cares about our love for the brand.
