They are worth it. Mine is acoustic only...an A/E would be nice. I rec'v mine 3 years ago. The gold hasn't faded too much but the prior owner never played it. Sat in its case for 36 years untouched. https://plus.google.com/photos/105567705311232066629/albums/57372379...

However, I have had or seen several Patriots and the decal was always defined. I believe the clear catalyzed polyester, as in other finishes, does have a very minor clouding after many years...I had a 1168 Custom Legend 12-string (1980 NAMM guitar)...the abalone inlaids were so bright against a dark sunburst top that I was shocked...yet wonderful. My 1658 Custom Legend (1980) that I got in December 2003 suffered UPS damage and was sent to the factory where they took the top down to bare wood. When I got it back, very bright abalone compared with several other 1979-1985 1658's and a 1659. The 6759 Custom Legend (yr 2000, used on Elton John tour) had far brighter abalone than the early 1979-1985 CL's.

Some dummy might have removed it hoping to get a coupla hundred bucks. Or, some dummy might have thought it was a good idea to aggressively polish the guitar. Either way... some dummy did it.

Hey Beal, is this the same type stenciling that was used on the original O heads for the logo and model name? I have noticed that the model and O logo on my well used 67 is barely visable, where on another, that has resided in its case most of its life, is very clearly seen.

I am following this one and may put in a bid if it stays within affordable range. But I would like to ask the seller a few questions and when I try I get this: "We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately, this seller is not able to respond to your question. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing." That's a bit odd for sure. So Lonnie, if you have a chance to check it out please let us know.

The Ebay page is letting me ask a question... did you go all the way down to the bottom of the page, and hit "Questions and answers about this item" return, "Ask a Question", return, "Other" (all the other ones are worthless) return, "Continue" return, page to type a Topic and area to ask Seller your Questions.

Oh I tried all options. Maybe he just does not want to deal with Canucks. Nancy - about how far away from Winnipeg are you?
