Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope you're all enjoying your new toys. :-)

This year I was fortunate enough to get a new Ovation CC44-5 for Christmas, and have a question about the built-in tuner. When I hit the "tuner" button, an up arrow and a down arrow blink in an alternating pattern. Playing a note doesn't seem to change what shows up on the display. Note names don't show up. I checked the pickups and they seem to work fine. Is my tuner broken, or am I just too dumb to figure out how to use it? :-p

When all else fails, change the battery.

If the guitar makes music when you plug it in, that could be the problem.

OR, you could try plucking the string Harder.
(Hard to diagnose long-distance like this... so I am mostly guessing)

Are you close to the correct tuning? I'm not sure how all of them work, but it may be searching for the right note and it's not close enough to find it.

I was pretty much in standard tuning (maybe a few cents off), so I don't think that's the issue. I tried playing the string as hard as possible so I don't think that's it either. I swapped out for another 9v battery, but it might be old, so I'll try again tomorrow with a fresh battery.

Any other possibilities here? Thanks guys for your suggestions.
