Oh yeah....length of the 2080D SH Bari is about 46 inches from end pin to headstock crown.

I'll pull one outta' the closet & measure it up. I think they're both the same, but I'll measure Beal's 12-er case t'play it safe. I'll also look for Make/Model, but they're both pretty non-desript (you r'member,Beal??) . . .

The thing is, mine has an AdamasI headstock, Bill's12, an AdamasII. You got that big ol' "paddlewheel" to contend with. That may be a rough one.

F@ckIt . . . y'uv gone THIS far . . . getta' custom case made . . .

Case no good. Not long enough.
If y'don't mind me asking, what made you go with that particulat headstock? Just personal preference?

It's the case they came in Cliff, I let the factory people sort it out. Big bastard as I recall.

It could be worse Stephen, at least you didn't get that flight case that my doubleneck came in. At 42 pounds, you don't want to take it anyplace. Wish I had a gig bag that would fit the deep bowl doubleneck.

Yeah, one of those carbon fiber cases would be the cat's ass for that guitar. Ought to get a matching one for the 6, too.

Hey Stephen, I saw a case over the weekend that might fit. A guy in the symphony uses it to carry his upright double base. You might need some foam.

Partly preference and the fact that almost everyone (who has played both styles) universally agrees that given two essentially identical guitars, the slothead version is going to sound slightly better.

and if your gonna build it, have it built like ya want! Based on Mike's observations and continued playing and listening, I absolutely made the right decision. It is like it is alive!

Just never took into account that it might not fit a hardshell case.

Wish it would have arrived in time for your last visit to Fugot's House Of Guitars.....but it hopefully gives you a reason to come back (as if our fabulous singing and playing wasn't enough ;) )!

The scary part is.....I swear it is starting to sound even better than it did a couple weeks ago.

Regarding the case question: Won't it fit in an Ovation Elite Bass case?

I would assume that Rick Hall checked all of their available sizes but maybe if an OFC member has one, they could check the interior length.

Nice idea...hope it pans out.

Cliff...tell Jeanette if she has some free time, we would love to hook up for dinner. Lia was really bummed that she missed hanging with you guys the last time.
