Location: NJ | I'll pull one outta' the closet & measure it up. I think they're both the same, but I'll measure Beal's 12-er case t'play it safe. I'll also look for Make/Model, but they're both pretty non-desript (you r'member,Beal??) . . .
The thing is, mine has an AdamasI headstock, Bill's12, an AdamasII. You got that big ol' "paddlewheel" to contend with. That may be a rough one.

Partly preference and the fact that almost everyone (who has played both styles) universally agrees that given two essentially identical guitars, the slothead version is going to sound slightly better.
and if your gonna build it, have it built like ya want! Based on Mike's observations and continued playing and listening, I absolutely made the right decision. It is like it is alive!
Just never took into account that it might not fit a hardshell case.
Wish it would have arrived in time for your last visit to Fugot's House Of Guitars.....but it hopefully gives you a reason to come back (as if our fabulous singing and playing wasn't enough ;) )!
The scary part is.....I swear it is starting to sound even better than it did a couple weeks ago. |
