I am glad to hear this worked out well for you, sure looks great ... was it partially covered by warranty?

I paid the shipping there. Warranty covered everything else. You can't beat that!

Cool. Congrats with a happy ending experience. Spread the word of the good work they did.

That's exciting that you have this beautiful guitar back and that it's playing well. As Ovation owners, it is pretty special to have someone like John Budny and his staff at the Ovation repair shop and be able to "talk" one-on-one with them about our babies. As I read your message, I quickly realized why my 1114 is not back from their shop yet -- they've been working overtime on this black beauty to bring it back to as-new condition! :-) That's OK, though -- I'm in no hurry and they have not only restored a beautiful instrument, they've restored a friendship with an unsure customer -- and you can't put a pricetag on that . . .

Thanks for the update UglyEarly. Despite the trouble you went through, it's great to see the ADII back and in good shape. Sure would love to hear what it sounds like. You'll probably need to think twice or thrice about getting rid of it now! Decisions, decisions...

I just noticed that they dressed the frets as well. They look new. If anyone has an Ovation under warranty, I highly recommend sending it in while that option is still available.
Even if it's not under warranty, this work is excellent.
