I had time to rethink: here are several I'd like to "spend time with":
1. Dave's SS Adamas I (thanks Dave for those GAS inducing pic's...lol)
2. Fugot's Proto Adamas: whoa baby!
3. One of Dadi's cutaway slotheads: yeah, like that'll happen!

Location: Chicago | Holdsworth: Since his style is based on feather-light, nanosedond hammers and pull-offs I have always wondered if he would dare record sigle-note leads on an acoustic, any acoustic. I wonder if the Adamas ever made on record on on stage with him?
Ute: I have never held one and am now curious how it would sound next to my new 1581-5 re-issue? |

I preferred the 1581 which is why I sold the UTE first and kept the 1581 almost another year. You also see UTE quite frequently for sale on this board and a few other places but I can't recall ever seeing a 1581 Reissue go up for resale.
Most would be ecstatic with either one. |

Location: Chicago | I am discovering another reason to be thrilled with my Adamas 1581: It records beautifully. Somehow it seems to have a more vivid presence both via direct line-in and when mic'd (both plugged-in and acoustic). I'm beginning to see why Adamas rules the "professional" world as a gigging and recording guitar.

Spending most of my free time studying for my series 65 test and the computer DAW is currently in the middle of a hardware upgrade (faster HD's) so I don't really have anything to record on/with.
I really want to lay something down just to see if the recording can come anywhere near the majestic sound put out in person. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | When I retire I'm going to pack my guitars in the 1976 GMC motorhome that looks like the Oscar Meyer weiner wagon, which will be my only inheritance from my father, and drive around the country and park it in front of your houses until you let me try out all your fantastic guitars. Except for Jerome. We'll fly over to France and I'll try out his guitars while my wife does all that touristy crap. |
