My guitar hand!!!" It cost me one practice session. And that just put me one practice session further away from fame & fortune.

Joined: August 2004 Posts: 604 Location: Tampa, FL | 2 yrs ago I sliced the tip of my right hand index finger off with a mandoline. I was kind of freaked out when I couldn't figure out a way to stop the bleeding. Nurse practitioner in the ER had the quote of the day, "All bleeding stops...eventually." Now I wear a glove made of stainless steel wrapped with kevlar.

Joined: November 2005 Posts: 4827 Location: Campbell River, British Columbia | It all heals in time. Cut part of the end off my left ring finger almost two months ago now. I've been able to play on it for about two weeks now but still only have a callus on half the tip....so some chords, slides, and bends are tricky. Never walk away from a mistake without taking the lesson: Once again I have learned, don't listen to the wife. She learned: don't talk to me when I have a knife in my hand....or dinner will be late.
