Is "Ovatoin" some kind of spin-off?

There's an acoustic-only Patriot model also listed on the bay. The add claims it is an original 100% mint instrument which was stored since 1976 and never sold.

Perhaps the seller saw the one on eBay selling for $2995 and figured the one-off spelling is worth a few hundred bucks.

Seriously, and even though we may mock some of these sellers, at least they think these old Ovations ARE valuable, and I respect them for that. Whether they are successful at those prices is another matter. Who knows?

This
one
on eBay says it has the electronics, although it's hard to see the knobs from the single picture (it definitely has the peizo saddle). Even so, the BIN is less than half the price of the craigslist one. That person's dreaming.

Ron Paul is the only true "patriot" who is running for presidency in 2008. :)

A true man of the U.S. Constitution.

Friendly warning - no politics, or Al's gonna come down on you like a ton of bricks. He already had to chide us today for religion on another thread. He's not gonna be in a good mood.

There's a "more photos" link of that one guitar which shows the one volume knob. As far as that "New and unplayed" guitar - the guys been trying to sell it at that price for months. When he wants to move it, he'll lower it.
