I hear ya. Music pretty much defines who and what I am. I've also just about managed to make a reasonable living from it, but that's not why I do it.

Not till you reminded me. I am amazed by your talent, John. I actually enjoyed the public transportation in Germany. It's nice to have someone else drive in unfamiliar surroundings. The train wasn't as much fun as having the Porsche engineers drive us around on the Weissach test track.

The wonders of modern technology...

Crappy Bootleg from the Concert...

I guess you had to be there...
And if you play around on YouTube a bit, this guy apparently got a bunch of the concert.
So enjoy...

Wow these guy's are right on top of nixing anything at all Zeppelin! NO worries though with the money they will make and with the good time they seem to have had at this concert I can't see anything that would stop them from doing a money making record breaking tour and set the bar for the big names who will be doing 40th year tours and the like in this decade and the next.

This is a gotta see concert for anyone who likes Rock & Roll.

That video is gone from youTube already.

I guess if the opportunity arises I'll have to see Zep live, which of course is unlikely at this time. Of all the footage out there from over the years, I still like the finished albums the best. I think that is where Page shines, in the studio.

I like Zep II a couple tracks of Zep III and Stairway. Never understood the rest of the hub-bub and never saw any video of any performance that would make me want to go see them live. Frankly can't figure out why so many of their tunes are considered "rock." Nothing wrong with it, just don't see where something like "Kashmir" is a rock song.

Zeppelin II is one of my favorite albums of all time. If you would like to see some impressive live performances, you should check out the Led Zeppelin "DVD" that came out a few years back. There is some great footage from various stages of their career including a great acoustic set from Earl's Court.

As for seeing them live, it would depend on the price of the tickets. I have a hard time paying the obscene prices for many concerts these days, especially when I have to buy 2 tickets. They have already announced that a DVD will be released of the London show. I'll have to check that out.

I saw 3 Zep Tours and 1 Plant/Page Tour.

I've seen enough.

I've heard tons of boots over the years. Enough to lead me to believe that they were finished as a great live band by 1972. Their reunion show may have been their tightest since then. Not bad for a bunch of old guys.

I suspect it's somewhat easier to play when sober and straight.

We don't notice the quality of our sound when we're fubared.
