Location: Carle Place, NY | The good folks at the factory fixed my 1537, however the walnut bridge is unfinished raw wood. I have tung oil at home. Any thoughts or advice for using that? Is there something else that's better? |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I use the same mineral oil that I use on fretboards. Tung oil would probably be fine as well. Dave |

I use the same lemon oil on my bridges that I use on the fingerboards. Same effect as Dave's mineral oil, only it smells nice.
It's amazing the transformation that takes place when you take a piece of fresh walnut and apply oil for the first time.

Location: Tennessee | I've been using Fret Doctor the past few months and this stuff is amazing. Especially for wooden bridges. I'm using it on my OFC and it is coming in very nicely. Same thing for a JL3 walnut bridge and also a rosewood bridge on a Martin. It's great on Fretboards too.

You need to scroll down the page. It was a pleasure doing business with this guy ... seems to be an artisan out in the country that personally fills all the orders, deals with your money, etc. Noah found this guy first and posted about Fret Doctor a while back. He was sold, too. |

The guys at the factory recommended mineral oil years ago so I'm sticking with it, and I've had no problems. Not say Tung oil wouldn't work, just went with the mildest stuff I could find.
If I didn't use mineral oil, I'd probably use the fret doctor stuff. The mineral oil's easy to find though. |
