Wow. Three whole pages before this thread wound up in the toilet with pooped, shaved gerbils. What's wrong with you guys? This would normally happen after the first 6 or 7 posts. The Holiday season gettin' to ya, Cliff?

Edit: I never thought my 400th post would be about poopy gerbils.

". . I never thought my 400th post would be about poopy gerbils . ."

so, you've exceeded your expectations, then??

(and for the record, it was WITKO who brought up the gerbil)

Witko is in Boise currently, which probably has something to do with the gerbils. On second thought, he's weird wherever he is.

Geez but you guy's crack me up! I laughed so hard at the posts added since this early morning that I almost blew my injection back out the tiny hole in my neck! Great stuff: Uhh, Dave, you do understand the meaning behind a shaved gerbil....don't you? If not, somebody break it too him: Paul, you’re sure to know: don't break his heart....

JimBo thanks for asking: yes, I made it through the procedure; it will be tomorrow before I really know; there is always a spike in pain from the added pressure of the liquid steroid: the good news is that both Doctors say mine is the classic case for being helped big time by what I went through this morning! Bad news is the raise in my blood sugar will be significant for three days...can't be helped: I just have to test more frequently....but it beats a cervical fusion.....

Had a great talk with Woz (Tom) today and for those who don't know it: Tom is responsible for my falling in love with Adamas guitars by loaning me the 1688 Holy Grail at the tour in May...I can never thank him enough...Why it took 33 years to be able to play one is a good question we can add to the other questions we'd like to ask the management (current and former)....but I am glad I finally did: Rest assured that this guitar is not going anywhere: I have found my ultimate Adamas backed up with a fantastic trio: 1983 1685-8; 1988 1688-5; and 2007 1187-247-2 #87 of 87! It will be available anywhere I get together with OFC friends; at my performances; and for those who are wandering through S.W. Virginia, drop in and see for yourselves (advance notice if possible please!)
Only one issue I'd suggest to the Company: why not make a case that actually fits the contour bowl? The 9158 is made for a round back...the contour sits up accordingly on the bass side which makes the case close only with extra effort! Just my .02 Cent gripe!
As to the access w/ no rear access panel: of course you can go through the electronics hole...these are built like a tank...doubt any ribs will be coming loose (could happen, but ask Cliff when that happened to his original slothead...)
One more thing...the remark I made about OFC not being an influence (or however i said it: it was at around 5 am; I was in pain (serious pain); and I did not mean it in the way it came out...of course we are an influence...but for every one of us...think of how many more are not OFC and the potential buying power there. Al's limited edition runs are genius! I mean it! Brilliant! Maybe this is a case of the big dog learning from the pup (sorry big guy, no slight intended or given); which begs the question why isn't more respect given to Al by the Co. and that is the point that Tony and several others are making and I totally agree: in a perfect world that is how it would be. In case no one's noticed, this is not a perfect world! Al is always there for us and even tho we sometimes let him down (abet unintentionally), he is still ready to help and do and represent us to the Co. For that I say a big "Thanks Al"! And I for one believe it is going to get much better! But that’s me: usually optimistic! Se la vie!

We have a lot of lurkers out there, some in guitar stores. I have been told by local GC and GuitarTrader employees that they check this board.

In addition, a Google search for Adamas Collector comes up with this: CLICK

Mike, glad to hear you are on the road to recovery. I am sure Dave understands gerbils and anything else kinky.
Finally, don't worry about insulting anyone on this board. Your posts are so long nobody reads them anyway.

Is this thread looping around and back to the Dan Fogelberg, "get your prostate checked" thread?

We need the rain. The local ski area opens tomorrow and my daughters are going up. It's free.
I just spent a couple hours hiding out in the basement. I couldn't stand any more Fox "news". I can see people yelling at each other when I go to work. I might even like it less than reality TV. I don't think our relatives noticed my absence.
Lunch tomorrow? I'll buy.
