However, the ONLY reason I am not considering is that I have the U681T, the 47RI and the OFC...means that I am broke! Personally, I think they made an awesome instrument...top of the line pre-amp, 1st example of a production contour bowl for an Adamas, cutaway, etc. No question in my mind as far as playability. Far better package for the stage or studio performer. And, if any are left by NAMM, I would expect the dealers (domestic and foreign) to close them out. OFC does influence the market as there are pictures, comments, and reviews. We saw it in the 47RI and some of the other Ovation/Adamas reissues. I believe that the OFC helped push the production numbers of the 47RI up due to excess demand. Even the 30th Anniv CL - I know of one San Diego dealer who told me a couple of the CL's sold to buyers who had seen it on the OFC. Hint to the factory - would be better for the bottom line to give us pictures and description prior to shipping, not after. Our membership are fanatics from all over the world. And future limited editions are pronounced early enough to see how they are appreciated. Clever from the marketing side, yes, but it also gives the customer a warm feeling of being recognized and integrated in the process. You do not just feel like a number that either buys or not. Joined: February 2005 Posts: 11840 Location: closely held secret | Of course you can pop out the preamp. How do you fix a broken brace? What if you lose the lead to the pickup inside? How do you fix a loose wire on the the output jack? For that matter, considering the issues they've had with the VIP, how do you change out the XLR CB?

I guess with a custom jig it would be possible to clamp up a loose brace through the can slot too. They must have made contingency plans for such an occurance

My eyes water to think what he might be doing to that 47RI and the custom ute alone up there in the hills. For pity's sake somebody go and rescue them. At least now we know why the FD had to go to hospital.
