Today I received my Christmas present to myself –a 30th Anniversary Custom Legend 1719-30CM-4 courtesy of Stuart Miller and his “Grand Sale.” Many thanks to you Stuart -- my Adamas 1597 will never be lonely again.

In conjunction with this important event in my life, I am considering issuing the following proclamation:

1. I can have as many Ovation and Adamas guitars as I want.

2. Money is no object – the only thing that matters is my happiness.

3. I dearly love my wife, but she’s not the boss of me.

Thought I’d consult with OFC veterans before I pull the trigger on the proclamation. What do you think?

Jeff:

I take it you don't think a little "word-smithing" of my proclamation is going to cut it.

On the contrary, I firmly believe you can have a fulfilling and mutually satisfying relationship with a plastic doll.

You should also invest in a comfortable couch.

Dave, you are most welcome and I glad you are as delighted as you sound. With this new declaration and proclamation maybe I could interest you in:

a beautiful U681-T
1658 Custom legend 12 string (beautiful partner to your new 1719)
Book Elite (bling-bling machine)
2006 Koa beauty

All still available for the right offer :-)(Bottom feeders need not apply)

Stuart, you have me tempted!! The proclamation may give me just enough courage to act.

Check your e-mail for info on wrap-up of the 1719 deal.

Thanks, Dave

As a previous purchaser (quite a few!) from Stuart, I can assure you, whatever you buy from him will be in better condition than what he says it is. Also, as previous owner of the UTE in question, I can tell you it is a fantastic guitar. :D

Well you love your wife.
If your wife loves you get her to buy you the UTE as her Christmas present for you.
Merry Christmas

I've always wanted a 1658 to sit next to my 1619. It would need to be -4 though.

Beal has a point. If you do it, you do it. If you don't there's no witnesses to call you on it.

An amazing amount of sage advice, as I expected from you all. Probably not enough to save me from myself, but what the heck. Thanks.

If somebody has info on a future gathering of Pacific Northwest members, I'd appreciate it.

There will be a gathering of at least two PN-OFCs in July at the Vancouver Island Music festival in July. I'd post the link here but the site has been down for a couple weeks. Hippies...

Still, it's one of the best little music festival weekends I've seen and heard.
