...also good bagels...and White Castle...and Taylor Ham. Can't get those things around these parts.

in south jersey we call it taylor pork roll.

Loved it until I got a bad sandwich on the boardwalk in AC. Never been able to get back to it.

my wife loves scrapple. I am not as enamoured with it as she is but all I know is when it is on sale for 99 cents I buy it.

Scrapple.....I remember years ago some of my Philly relatives talking about that. Isn't that kinda in the same realm as Spam?

Better than Spam. Spam is like rubber. Scrapple is a mix of cornmeal, pork meat scraps and spices. And great for breakfast. The best is made by the Amish. Delicious.

To me spam is only emergency food.

I don't think they sell that here in Colorado. At least I have never seen it in the stores.

Back when I used t'eat meat, I absolutely LOVED Taylor Ham!!!
My daughter used to love it to when I cooked it for breakfast. Trenton Ham is shite.

I used to love a good taylor ham, egg, and cheese on a hard roll on the way home from partying in my younger days. The Golden Star diner in West Paterston (NJ) made them just they I liked them.

I've since given up most of my partying and eating unhealthy foods (a.k.a. anything that tastes good).

I've spent quite a few hungover early mornings, shivering and sand-encrusted (from sleeping on the beach) at the TaylorHam stand on the boardwalk in SeasideHeights . . .

(eeesch . . just the THOUGHT of that is giving me the "Dry Heaves" . . . .)

pork roll is really good. but it has to be fried and has to be on a kaiser roll.
