"Last" gig was a LOT of Fun!!!!
I think the biggest "kick" was that we BOTH had that "I Don't Give a Sh!t, Anymore" attitude and we just played our Asses off!!! A lot of people (Jeanette included said that we were "Locked "ON" "

It was good to have that particular chapter end on a "high note" (if you will).
ThankYou John B. fer comin' out!!!!

The place we played had a Class of '97 HS Reunion, and let's just say we didn't "disturb" their party in the least . . . a GoodTime was had by All, and we were able to "end it" at a venue that we always enjoyed playing as it's a family-run business that always treats US like family.
LastNight/ThisMorning was definitely a "highlight" in all the years I've been doing this "MusoShite".

ThankYou! Miles & David.
I'm somewhat taken aback by all of you KindWords and non-deserving compliments.
I guess if there's anything I can say that I've "blessed" with, it's the ability to "carry" a tune (and sometimes "throw" it).
It's something I've always enjoyed doing, and it's something that I'm Thankful that I'm STILL able to "do" (despite how "aged" Andrea finds my face).
I have to admit,. . . it's still "Fun".

I have the basic "sketch" done of my very first original tune & I'll get it posted (providing that Jeanette - who STILL as yet to HEAR it - deems it suitable for "Public Consumption") when its "ready". ManyThanks to UncahBeal for inspiring me to "JustDoIT!"
(Yes T, I'm layering multiple tracks, z'here something I should "know"?? . . .)

While I look back on the last 7 years with great fondness, I think that the Next7 will hopefully prove t'be even MORE "Fun" . . .

ThxAgain!
(for making it "fun")

That's great that it went well, and that you had a ball. I'm sure you did Kanye proud.

Cliff - congratulations on going out in style! I'm sorry that I missed seeing you (at least in that "atmosphere") - I really wanted to make it to one of the last shows. One of my favorite holiday songs is your version of "Olde City Bar" from the OFC CD. I had it on the iPod for my trip to France. Good luck in wherever the journey takes you next and I'll see you in Amelia in March.

I would have to agree with Jeanette that TMG was very much "locked in" last night. At one point, Jeanette leaned over and said "they really are good together, aren't they?". They are both good people, and I know that Cliff will be great at whatever he decides to do. I would like to say the same for Rick, but he's going to be playing with me part time, so he will probably not do so well. I think he's just using me for my PA, but that's another story. LOL. Anyway, congrats to Cliff and Rick for going out on a high note. Well done!

BTW .. Cliff's line of night "My name is Cliff, and this is Rick, we are TwoManGroup. If you would like to see us again, you're sh*t outta luck".

Congrats on the end of an era. Like anything where people are envious of your "natural" talent, I'm sure it's the result of tons of practice. The work isn't hard if you enjoy it. The face just reflects your experience.

If y'mean the picture (from your back deck) on the "Music" page, no that's Cheryl's Gibby J-Fiddy that Willy fixed, r'member??.

I fear that I'll need slightly more than ONE original tune t'carry a night at the Mermaid . . I'm workin' on it . . .

Boy, am I "stiff"(and "hoarse") this morning.
But it's a "good" hurt . . .

Before this all I had as an example of Cliffs voice was the the Youtube posting of Freddy & the Fishsticks. I couldn't see what so many of you were on about. Man, that's a cool set of pipes!

Nice that you've at least kept THAT in shape over the years.

(yes, I have the OFC cds, but the F&tF thing always made me skip past Cliffs contributions. Now I have something to look forward to on the Christmas listenin' list.)

Very nice Cliff.
"Desperado" drew my wife over to the 'puter asking "Who's singing that??".
Very good on the Police song, too. You sounded rather... Stingy.
And just to prove that I'm not just trying to blow smoke hoping for some free advise at Amelia Island.... didn't care for the J. Mitchell thing. IMHO Cliff, your voice doesn't need all that processing.

Honestly, "River" was a throwaway. I didn't care it much for it either (that's why it didn't end up on the CD). . it was just "seasonal" . . . and lying around on my HardDrive . . .

y'know, . . this new-found ability of being able t'put sh!t on the Internet could prove t'be dangerous for me in the next couple months . . .
(btw: I highly recommend Yahoo! SiteBuilder.
Cheap&Easy(ShutUp,Witko!).

I found another "seasonal"-type tune that's more Adamas-oriented . . Slothead54(two different tunings) and the AdamasLongNeck.
CAUTION!:
Track also contains lots of annoying, screeching, "whistly-things" as well . . .
If memory serves, I believe there's even a Flute-O-Phone(remember THOSE?) in there, so lock all matters of canine life forms in the basement beforehand . . .

I need to invest in a proper pair of reference monitors, as I'm guilty of committing the CardinalSin of mixing in a pair of 25+ year old AKG K240 headphones (I know, I KNOW!) and my resultant mp3's are coming out boomy/muddy

Any suggestions would be appreciated . . .

Cliff, give me a call or email me a budget and I can help you get set up on the cheap. Hell, I probably even got some stuff you can have or borrow.

You are about to enter a new stage of GAS!

Cliff: If I may offer one suggestion, You may want to give your home page a "title". The page title is what is displayed at the top of the page. If you use internet explorer for example, the top of the screen displays "title - Windows Interner Explorer". It's also the name that is used to identify your page when it is bookmarked.
To give the page a title, just go to page properties, and enter a new title, save the page, and publish the changes. If you need any help, give me a call.

Nicely done, Cliff! The site has a nice look to it and the tracks are great.

Multi-tracking vocals came be a little challenging, eh? When it 'hits', it can add a lot of richness to a weaker voice (I did one where I multi-tracked 3 each, l,r and c, for 3 different parts) or if you're trying to build a 'wall' of voices (ala "And Your Bird Can Sing", or "Because").

My voice needs it.

Your voice has a fantastic timber and IMO just doesn't need it. I'd love to hear you do some close harmonies just behind and above the lead vocals though!

Again, very nice job! Keep us posted on updates!

Agreed, Cliff doesn't need all the verb present in the recording.....but it is a common error when people start recording themselves and think they need to mask the true sound (which again, Cliffy doesn't need to do).

Cliff, did you do your vocals wet or dry?

If dry, send me the raw Cubase files and let me play with mixing them a bit.
