Ok, I've seen much love for the American made Elite T's here. Now how about the preamps? I have the opportunity to purchase an Elite T with an OP-30, but how much better is the OP-Pro? If I can get a TX with the OP-Pro Does it out weigh the difference in the guitars?

I should mention this would be a shallow bowl and used almost exclusively plugged in (I love the comfort of the shallow while gigging). I don't know how much difference the acoustics will make amplified. Thoughts/suggestions? Thanks guys!

I'd grab the op30 guitar.
They stunning in how good they sound.
If you want an OP-pro you can add one later

Get the T instead of the TX.

The OP-30 is a fine preamp.

So I picked up an 1868T...wow. The previous owner took some liberties with the finish, but the sound is fantastic, the action is just about right and I'm very happy. Is sounds so much fuller than I would have thought a shallow would (I only had access to the new TX meds to playtest). I went ahead and upgraded the preamp pretty much right out of the box to an OP-Pro Studio (had the OP-30 installed) and plugged in it's so much more than I hoped for. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction guys. I can't wait to do some recording with this baby. By the way, I have an OP-30 up for grabs if anybody is looking. Thanks again for the input.

Cheers!
