Location: South Carolina | Hi All. Thanks to All in advance for any help or info. I acquired an electric guitar several years ago and am trying to find out a few things about it. First off, it has a double lock tremolo bridge and was missing the fine tuner screws in the bridge. I have searched and searched to no avail to find some replacements.Secondly,after several searches on the web I found a website that might have shed some light on my mystery.It appears to me(Please correct me if I'm wrong)that this is a mid 80's GS-3 Ultra Hardbody model made by Applause for Ovation.Am I right with this? Based on the info and comparing it to this guitar it seems to match.There is no model no. or model name anywhere on the instrument,just a serial no. on the neck plate,Applause on he headstock,and made in Korea on the heel of the headstock.URL below is to pictures of this guitar.Any help or info as to where I can get some fine tuner screws is greatly appreciated.It's a pretty sweet guitar and I love playing it.It has a really good sound and good action.The info I found said it's probably got D'marzio Super-2 pickups and a Kahler Flyer tremolo bridge.Thanks again for any help.

Well sorta. It's not actually a GS-3, unless Applause shared the nomenclature with the Hard Bodies. There were a bunch of GS and strat clones under the Applause name, and I've never really been able to sort out how many, but different variations keep popping up.
That bridge is a tough one. There are a couple of Tremolo bridges out there that seemed to be one-off's. I mean we know they made bunches, and likely made bunches with other brand names stamped on them, but there are a few that I have only seen on the guitars they were on, and nowhere else.
But in any case it is not a Hard Body GS-3, just a sister (or brother) of one. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Kahler was gone for awhile, but was back in business when I last checked a couple years ago. You might check the Kahler site to see if you can find screws that fit. My Kahler Flyer bridge has the name prominently stamped on it and doesn't look like yours.
Jerome's site identifies the guitars, but not the bridge. |

Tryin' to solve a Mystery
