I have an Ovation 1115 Pacemaker (12 string slot-head). I broke the top tuning peg off. I've been looking everywhere and can't find a replacement. I can find other 6-on-a-strip tuners but they do not have the right posts. The posts I need are solid, .25" dia and have 1 hole drilled in the middle of the post. Post length is 1".

Can someone please help?

Thanks, Ben

according to John and Kim at the mothership... the original 6/side open gear plates are no longer available.. so unfortunately you will either have to retrofit something in or look for a vintage project 1115 or other vintage slothead 12.. the sealed tuner plates are still available tho..

they go back to work on Wednesday. give John a call.

Thanks for the info...I guess that these must be replacement tuners then cause they are Kluson Deluxe closed tuners.

I'm new here so I am guessing that John and Kim work for Ovation? Is there a place where their phone/email is listed?

Thanks..Ben

You can still buy those. They are Kluson 6-on-plate nickel tuners with plastic buttons. You'll need to buy one RH set and one LH set. They sell for about $60. a set.

Dave,

Do you know who sells these tuners? I've looked everywhere I can find on the web and have had no luck.

Thanks,

Ben

Thanks to everyone for the help. I was able to track down a set of mini Schallers to replace the Kluson tuners. I ended up getting a lead from John Budny. He said that Al from Lost Art Vintage might have some and sure enuf he did.
