Location: Philippines | Where online can I order an OP-Pro Studio with XLR? I think that ordering online is my only option since I'm not in the US. Google couldn't help me find a seller.
I read that it's possible to replace an OP-Pro with an OP-Pro Studio simply by pulling out the OP-Pro and plugging in an OP-Pro Studio. I want to do that on my Ovation 2005 Collectors' Edition guitar. Since the guitar has an XLR jack, the preamp must be an OP-Pro with XLR. So I guess the upgrade should be an OP-Pro Studio with XLR since the other upgrades (iDea OPI-1 and VIP-5) don't seem to support XLR. Are my assumptions correct?
Thanks in advance for any help. |

I am guessing that since you have an OP-Pro with XLR,
all you would need to do is drop the Studio module into the can.
The Studio is a nice upgrade from the OP-Pro. |

The Studio is a nice upgrade from the OP-Pro. Yes it does.... :)
IMHO, the OP Pro Studio is WAY better than the VIP. I basically slide the "mics(?)" all the way down and play it like a OP Pro. |

Location: Philippines | I finally found a seller! A guy at eBay put up for bidding the complete OP-Pro Studio with XLR set from his Ovation 2009 Custom Legend. I won the bidding. I can't wait to receive my OP-Pro Studio with XLR.
Now I'm thinking if it's possible to transfer my existing OP-Pro to my almost 2-decade-old Ovation Celebrity CC157. The problem is that the Celebrity has a K-Graphic preamp, which is rectangular. I would probably have to cover that rectangular hole as I drill the OP-Pro-shaped hole on that guitar. |
