Hi all! I'm brand new to playing guitar and decided to get a CC28 - I grew up with my brother owning an Ovation, so naturally I was led this way.

So - here's my problem.

I just got this guitar and I saw some videos about lowering the action.

So, I removed the saddle and the shim underneath it. However, when I removed the saddle, the metal bottom to it came off too, and the pickup strip inside fell out.. now my guitar tuner won't work and nothing recognizes the guitar when plugged in. I'm thinking somehow that piece falling out messed it up.

I've looked online everywhere and I can't find any photos of what the pickups should look like when placed inside this metal casing under the saddle.. and I'm wondering if anyone on here can help me before I have to go to a repair shop or buy a new saddle.

Thanks for listening and any advice you can give :)

edit: I found one video showing a goldish type plate over the pickups that I seem to have misplaced somehow when it came apart.. I guess I'll have to find some place who can get that for me. SIGH horrible first day with this guitar :p

I can't see how to delete this post - but thanks for reading anyhow.
