Sorry, I honestly have found little difference in the few sets I have bought for mine yet. To be honest they were all good! You need to use the palm and your thumb and fingers and crimp stretch the strings up the neck three or four times and retune. I do this 3 or 4 times on each string and they do not go out of tune so easily on you when your giging. Same thing with the bronze wounds actually. You do this and you will not have to retune for a while. Seriously......... Learned this from a luthier from my home town who built custom acoustic guitars (one for Johnny Cash) he had a small shop right in my home town now.

Location: NJ | Now, . . I'd be inclined t'suggest doing the "opposite" . . . start with the Hard, and then (if you WANTED to), go with the Normals . . .
That's what I did, as (since I was so accustomed to playing steel-string) I found myself OVERplaying the Normals. The HighTension strings were a bit more "similar" to what I was "used" to, and were thereby a bit more "stable".
But then again, that's just "me".
Just a suggestion. |

| See my post in the other "which strings" thread below...I recommend (and use) some of Thomastik-Infeld's classical strings as well. I think it is their S-series that are wound like a standard string, but meant for classical guitars' tension needs and applications. |

Location: Vermont USA | As we all know there is more than one way to cook a cat. So with that said try both the D'Addario Pro-Arte 45&46. And go which ever is comfortable for you. What worked for me may not for you.

| BTW - I like the Savarez hard tension, not the composites.
I wouldn't use the Thomastik ball-ends on a real classical guitar. I use them on my Country Artist and they're superb, but they sound like s**t on a real quality classical.
More professional players worldwide use the D'Adds than any other brand. |
