Location: Cabo San Lucas, MEX | I just acquired an older Ovation Ultra with a very interesting rattlesnake pattern. I am confused though because based on serial number it is from 1982 but then I checked another list and the Ultra 1528 was not made in 1982. Can anyone help me? Is the rattlesnake pattern common? I have owned and played several different Ovations but this is the first pattern like this I have seen. I look forward to your feedback. |

If your Ultra was made overseas the serial number is meaningless. |

Location: Tennessee | Welcome mbold. Your Ultra is a nice guitar, but made in the Korea factory so the serial numbers don't have any relation to the US-made scheme.
The snakeskin pattern was fairly popular in the learly 90's, so while they are not too common, you see them fairly regularly. Your guitar is probably from this period. I'm glad you like your new guitar.
Looking forward to seeing the pictures. |
