I was never a Peter Frampton fan but, with his recent albums he did garner my respect...

and then, I flip on the tube and see him doing a Geico commercial reprising "Do You Feel Like I Do?"

His ratings have suffered...

AND THEN....

I see Brian T pimping car wax!

sheesh...

I've always found the Geico commercials t'be pretty funny and inventive (more than I can say for their "service").

I gotta' admit, I did get a "giggle" out of the Frampton one . . .

I like the Little Richard one. They do have a knack for finding these straight faced customers.

Wasn't Billy Mays just recently voted the most obnoxious hawker on tv?

(Brian - you should throw a little container of OxiClean in your bag and pull it out at a gig sometime. Tell the crowd if they don't start having fun, you'll start selling.)

The Joan Rivers one a classic. It's not often Joan is funny anymore, but this commercial is a rare moment.

The fact that the participants are willing t'poke fun at themselves is what makes it funny.

The other night, I saw that one with that Lipton guy from "Inside the Actors' Studio" with his pants rolled up & sitting in a wading pool or a fountain . . .

Just makes me wonder how they can claim to keep their rates "low" while flooding commercial TV time with these moronic episodes with paid "has beens".
 I'm venting...I hate ALL commercials!
Especially, "BILLY MAYS HERE".

Air Supply rocks! :D

Actually didn't the guitar player use a UKII for a bit? I seem to remember a white one.

I saw a pic, back in the 80's it registered with me cuz I had one. I remember thinking "why couldn't it be Alex Lifeson or ANYONE else?"

The guy from "Inside the Actors' Studio". When THAT guy is pimping car insurance, you know everyone has a price.

Oh, count on it!
"Ford's new "Edge" is pure engineering genius, magnificent...splendiferous!!"...and so on.
HOw about David Carradine doing Kwang Chi Caine doing a commercial for "Yellow" pages. there are some sick dudes in their fifities who took way too much acid in the 70's thinking this stuff up, which is the only thing that makes it interesting BTW...
I'm waiting for Neil YOung to do it...that is the day I throw my tv away and move to antarctica!!

My father is in mid-level management at "Yellow Book USA", and he said that the Carradine ads have been huge for them. As far as the Geico commercials, I love them. I thought that little Richard was pretty funny.
