I had one.
I bought it for cheap, I sold it for cheap.
Think of it as halfway between a Balladeer and a Legend.
Otherwise it is just like the description on the Ovation site.
It has a Gold Foil label, and is sez 35th Anniversary on the headstock.
OP-24+ preamp. Solid Top, Ebony Fingerboard, Gold tuners.
I don't think that too many were made...
I can count on One Hand how many I have seen for sale here or on eBay.
Mine, and two others.

It is another one of the guitars that I should have kept.

The AN-35 was the first brand new guitar and first Ovation I ever bought.
Paid $900.00 for guitar and case from ZZsounds.
Very nicely finished with a kind of understated elegance with the solid black top/bowl, matte finished neck with gold hardware.
Really loved the blue in the rosette against the black soundboard.
Like you I found little online about this model.
Have seen 2 for sale in the last 6 months or so which were priced around $1100-$1200 which really surprised me.
Gave mine to one of my grandkids for his birthday, so it will be available when I get a hankering to play it.

thank,s for the reply,s! i just got one this week!!! according to the original receipt that was in the case it was around the same price as yours back then.
so that takes care of the retail price question...as far as how many were made, well this remains a mystery?
i heard from a reliable source, that "there were no good numbers around for this one, but there were a couple hundred or so made back then.
i have only seen 2, mine and the one brucewar sold for 2k from that big collectors series collection. that price may be because there were not many made? non the less she,s a beauty and plays awesome too!! a nice piece of Ovation history.
