Anyone have experience with these guitars? Specifically, what I'd like to know is how they sound acoustically. It seems like the Deep Contour Body and LX Bracing and AAA Top, how could you go wrong?

There are a couple new ones on Ebay going for the $1K range but I didn't want to get into one of these if they stink for some unknown reason.

Thanks.

Jim

Buyer beware. BrotherBobby's auction is for an FRG, which means only a 5 yr warrantee. NO case either. The Voodo-kid is selling a USED guitar, so I would question the ability to activate the warrantee. The other place doesn't say if it is new or used, or if it is FRG.

Why do you say buyer beware on BrotherBobby?

The listing clearly states that it is an FRG with a 5 year warranty. It also mentions 2-3 times that it does not come with a case and gives the reasons why.

The only person who should beware is the one who bids without actually reading the seller's description.

Voodo-kid....absolutely agree. You can't state "NEW" when you are not a dealer.

Stephen, I just wanted to point out to him that for $1k, none of the sellers were offering a new guitar with case and with a full lifetime warrantee. Each of the three offerings was deficient in one or more category.

As you say, the buyer has to read the entire description. Stellarjim's exuberance in the original post suggested to me that he might not have noticed the fine print yet.

Gottcha...

On the initial read it looked like you were singling out BrotherBobby who has received some negative press in the past based on "proper case" issues.

Upon rereading, I see that you were indeed issuing a caution about all 3 of the guitars....you just kinda ran them all together :) .

Never hurts to protect the tribe ;)

It's true that I'm exuberant but I have read the advertisements closely. I was looking more at Voodo Kid's guitar when I posted my original note. But I certainly don't mind having my brothers watch out for my spending habits. Always looking to get my money's worth.

I read a review in a guitar magazine over here in the UK and the RRP is well over 2000 POUNDS!!  That's almost $5000 Aussie dollars. For that price, you could fly to the states to buy one and still save a bundle.

I prefer the single hole '05 collectors personally.
