Heard this on the radio this morning (subject was golf clubs, but same applies to guitars):
"There is no BEST. Only what is best for YOU. The term BEST is a complex web of what you can AFFORD, what you actually NEED, and the emotional factor of what you really WANT."

Which is why my "best" guitar currently consists of a list of 6! :D |

Location: south east Michigan | I agree Dave. When broken down to the lowest common denominator, that's what is left.
That being said I would still not begrudge anyone on that quest for the "best". When they find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow or scale that mountaintop to get advise from the old sage in a cave, most likely they'll come away with the words that you posted.
It's not always the destination that is the most rewarding. It's the journey getting there. How much fun would it have been if Gilligan & crew were rescued from the island in the third week? |

Location: Omaha, NE | My therapist keeps telling me that there is no "good", "bad", "right", "wrong", "should", "shouldn't", "ought to", "ought not", etc. She counsels me to say (for example) "I really enjoyed that movie" rather than "that is a really good movie".
Psychobabble not withstanding, you can tell if its "best" by noting whether or not it is "mine". |
