I can't wait 'till Taylor makes one! :p I'm not positive it's plastic as there is nothing said about its construction. I guess it's possible the back is wood with a spray over it a 'la the Elite T. If so, it sure is ugly....

I have not heard it for myself so I can't say anything about the results. Maybe it was a miserable failure, but at least they tried. Now, if Ovation would only try making a wooden box guitar? I know, I've been beating this horse before and ended up getting flogged myself. But a funny story to share: Around the middle of last year a person very much "in the know" pulled me aside and said, "Dave I'll get fired if this slips out, but between you and I the 2008 Collector guitar is going to be an Adamas and it's going to have a WOODEN back." Well, I bought it hook-line-and-sinker. And for 6 months I'm sitting here with my lips sealed and absolutely did not say a word to anyone. The anticipation was killing me. Then Al announces he's taking pre-orders for the 2008's and I just call and say "Book It". At that point I STILL thought it would have a wooden back. Once I found the truth I wasn't really disappointed but I felt like a fool. SOMEBODY is going to get some pay-back one of these days. Dave

For a long-standing, traditional wooden guitar maker to have developed a composite guitar that was accepted by the traditional wooden guitar buying public, I think, would have had positive implications for the broader composite guitar market. This, of course, is one man's opinion and I do hope, I've not offended anybody's sensibilities in making this statement.

But Breeze, you know you're not supposed to be playing around Jeff's computer. Now go outside and play, before you wake him up. There's a good dog.
