Location: MPLS,MN | Can somebody tell me where this model fits in the Ovation line? Serial says it's a 1999, Made in USA. Shallow bowl, sure is a nice sounding guitar plugged in. |

Location: Jet City | Sounds like a Balladeer to me. I think the "W" model had a walnut rosette. Have any pictures?

I've seen the "S" designation instead of a number for the first digit on export models (those intended for the European, especially German, market).

| Found a description on the wayback machine from the pre-Fender Ovation website . Although it is A-braced, it differs from the Legend series in that it has a rosewood fretboard, Thinline pickup, and, by both your and Ovation's pictures, a 2-piece rather than 5-piece neck. These specs make it closer to a later Balladeer, as Damon said. |
